These gowns are made with superior workmanship, with two wide velvet front pleats, velvet around the neck, bell sleeves, two smaller side pleats, three side velvet chevron and full fluted across the back and shoulders, which provides fullness to the body of the robe and the sleeves. Doctoral gowns are made of woven fabric polyester matte satin, which is lightweight and practically wrinkle free, with deluxe velvet (plush) in place of regular velveteen.
